Welcome to Primary Psychology of Central Florida your psychotherapy and assessment provider in the Orlando area.
Our work is dedicated to helping people develop healthy, productive, and satisfying lives and relationships. We provide treatment and support to children and adolescents with emotional or behavioral concerns. We also assist adults, couples and geriatric individuals who are experiencing adjustment issues, relationship conflicts, anxiety, and mood disorders, among other issues.
Though it can be difficult to make the decision to begin psychotherapy, we have found that those who have sought our help and guidance have achieved remarkable results. We are conveniently located in the Central Florida area, accessible to Orlando, Kissimmee and Saint Cloud communities. Psychotherapy and psychological assessments can be provided in English or Spanish.

Our Crew
Dr. Yamila Santos, has extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population. Dr. Santos is a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida and has a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D.) from Carlos Albizu University – San Juan Campus. Dr. Santos completed her Internship at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she provided community-based and school-based mental health services to residents of the surrounding communities. She also received specialized training in the treatment of sexual abuse victims and their families.

Dr. Tavárez has experience working with children and adolescents diagnosed with mood, anxiety, and
neurodevelopmental disorders, including depression, generalized anxiety, attention-
deficit/hyperactivity, and autism. She specializes in Cognitive-Behavioral and Behavioral evidenced-
based treatment approaches. She additionally has experience working with children with comorbid
behavioral needs, including disruptive disorders, developmental delays, and learning disorders. She
currently provides a range of services including developmental, psychoeducational, and diagnostic
assessments; individual therapy, and parent training.
